If you’re craving for sweets but are looking for a healthy option these sugar-free apple oats cookies will do the work. They keep you filled, fuelled and are gluten free. With just a few ingredients you can make a pile of cookies that fill your kitchen with delicious apple cinnamon scent.
There’s no secret tips to get this recipe right. For oats powder, simply use a coffee grinder or food processor to blend a portion of oats. Then use as described in the directions below. My recommendation is to prepare all ingredients beforehand and once ready, mix them all and set aside for the oats to soften. After 10 minutes you can start shaping cookies using a large spoon. If you don’t wait it out, the cookies will turn out less juicy and oats may burn on the outside due to the dryness.
After taking them out of the oven a cooling, the cookies should be stored in a jar or plastic container to keep the freshness and aroma. They won’t crumble and will stay rather chewy due to the apple and oats combination. If the batch (7-8 cookies) turns out too small, feel free to double the amount of ingredients for a bigger batch or try out the Simple Homemade Apple Slab Pie 😉
